The WOLM belief is based on Sanctification which is a process with the dominant idea being separated from the secular and sinful and being set apart for a sacred purpose. God wants to sanctify us wholly in this life that we maybe blameless at the second advent of Christ Jesus. “Abstain from all appearance of evil and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:22- 23.
About God
One of the most profound verses in the Bible refutes a number of philosophies: (Gen 1:1); ” In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”. This verse refutes philosophies such as Atheism, Polytheism, Evolution, Pantheism, Materialism, Fatalism and Humanism.
About Jesus
The virgin birth and the direct involvement of the Holy Ghost in it is an important part of the gospel. It was evident once again that God Himself stepped down into human life and history to perform specific acts that would carry forward His plan and bring salvation. “Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: when as His mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 1: 18). Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit. It is also identified as fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 7:14). Jesus was the incarnate God.
About Man
“Sin is the transgression of the law” (1 John 3:4).
God had given Adam a law’ “But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die” (Genesis 2:17). Adam’s disobedience caused many to be made sinners (Romans 5:12). .
About Salvation
Is the deliverance from the power and dominion of sin. One must realize that they need to be saved from sin and that they can’t save themselves from sin. “For there is not a just man upon earth that doeth good and sinneth not.” (Ecclesiastes 7:20). “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). Therefore, we know that the Father was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, no longer counting men’s sins against them but blotting them out. (2 Corinthians 5:19). The Father put into effect a plan to save us. He sent His Son in a human body like ours, but His body didn’t have any sin in it because Jesus was conceived by the Holy Ghost. Thus, He destroyed sin’s control over us by sacrificing Himself as a blameless and spotless Lamb for sins. Salvation is by grace though faith in Christ alone. .
about baptism
Water Baptism: Is the immersion of a believer in water and acknowledging openly that they are crucified with Christ, buried with Christ and raised with Christ to walk in the newness of life. This sacerdotal function shall be performed by the power and authority of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ.
Spiritual Baptism: There is “One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism.” (Ephesians 4:5). Water Baptism, important as it is, is not “the on baptism” essential for the entrance of the believer into the kingdom of God. John the baptist said, “He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, upon whose thou shalt see the Spirit descending and remaining on Him, the same is he which baptized with the Holy Ghost.” (John 1:33). Baptism with the Holy Ghost is “the one baptism” that one needs to enter the kingdom of God. “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.” (Romans 8:9).
In Conclusion:
Now that we have covered some of the basic doctrinal stands of the Church, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh unto you.” (James 4:7-8).
